He who would give up essential Liberty for the promise of Temporary Safety, deserves neither Liberty nor Safety. -Benjamin Franklin
An open letter to Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill regarding your letter dated Nov. 10, 2010:
You said that “…my first priority is ensuring the safety of the American people…”
The American people are not children who need to be kept safe by big central government. Your job is to fulfill your oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
Our greatest threats do not come from illegal immigrants nor from men in turbans hiding in caves somewhere in the Middle East. Our greatest threat is a government that would instill and promote fear in the American people in order to deprive the people of their God-given, Constitutionally guaranteed rights.
Protect our rights! That is your mandate from your constituents.
In your letter you also bragged about your $600 million dollar legislation that “includes $46 million in funding for advanced communication equipment and new, remote-operated surveillance drone aircraft.”
Awake Americans know that this legislation is really about giving more handouts to the corrupt military industrial complex which keeps their crony politicians in office so that the American people can be continuously fleeced by them. We are on to you Senator!
You also bragged about how this funding will be “completely paid for by increasing the visa fees paid by foreign high-tech companies that have shown an over-reliance on bringing foreign labor in America.”
Awake Americans know that this is just another way of saying that you are increasing the taxes on private corporations. This money would better serve Americans if left in the hands of the corporations, who will use it to make investments that would create more jobs, which will be necessary if we are ever to get out of this economic depression.
Government needs to stay out of the way of the private sector. The government and the Federal Reserve caused this depression, and you will never get us out of it by doing more of what you did to get us into it! Decrease taxes and allow that money to remain in the economy.
We need big government out of our private lives! We need less government spending and less taxes and debt, rather than more of the same old things!
The economy will never recover until the government gets out of the way of the private sector!
Leave Us Alone!
